I REALLY CHANGE MY MIND ABOUT...


Despite not being able to give my conclusion orally and expose my blog, I will write here what I take from this class =), if I had to stay with something I choose my social action, because I loved sharing beautiful evening filled with paint that long ago I didn't enjoy, and stop seeing it as a waste of time but as an investment that left me great rewards, I learned much of what I had to do in class, develop patience and most of all I learned about myself, able to discover new things as the care of a plant and create my own compost, I think I put into practice the true meaning of being a responsible person, responsible for more than just depended on my, head to brighten someone's evening, responsible that after months of mix leaves and debris can build a compost for a  plant to alive.

I learned that being socially responsible is not only helping others, is to change something in me that others notice the change and to understand the force that includes being socially responsible, I do not think being a great example of this, but I think there were many change,s compared to me when I started the class with denisse out of class now, I understand things much better and I could open a little on my mind for new experiences and that was great.

FINALLY MY COMPOST BECOME IN SOIL =)

was very interesting to make this compost, because it really was a learning process ... months ago had no idea that waste land could become compost, and it is best that the process is not complicated it is to let nature do its job, you just give him a little help.

stir and remove after week after week away, I could see how this is going to start breaking down and was a thick where they saw many skins of fruits and leaves and eggshells without breaking even, then everything was getting more homogeneous even in color ... due to the climate had to change my compost to a more dry and the rain would end up damaging all, it was much better because I saw relocate as this mass began to separate and become pieces of land. =)

and now finally there is a land that I can use of fertilizer for other plants in my garden.

I am very happy to have gotten done away compost, finally I find that anything can be turned into food for others.

ACERCA DE LA VERDAD

El derecho de saber la verdad...

Después de discutir un poco este tema en clases, yo considero que toda persona tiene el derecho de recibir una información veraz libre de manipulaciones, pero el derecho a conocer la verdad no solo depende de quien proporciona la información, también depende de quien la recibe, si no estás del todo conforme tienes la opción de investigar, levantar tus propias conclusiones, de expresar tus argumentos y de tomar como cierto lo que crees que debería se de esa manera.

Saber la verdad no es solo que alguien afirme una información como verdadera y que todos digan lo mismo, solo porque uno o muchos secundaron la moción, saber la verdad es también creer en tus ideales y defenderlos, tener el derecho a recibir una información correcta sin mentiras y libre de manipulaciones es parte fundamental para el ser humano, pero tambien debe ser obligación, para los gobiernos, los medios de comunicación y público en general proporcionarla.

No debemos acusar de manipulación porque creo personalmente que no seríamos manipulados si no lo hubiésemos permitido, es una problemática consentida estamos conscientes de que nos mienten y nos manipulan sin embargo no hacemos nada para cambiarlo.

Considero hasta cierto punto que las personas son más felices de esta manera, porque querer dañar tu felicidad con una verdad que quizás ni siquiera llegue a afectar tu entorno, somos personas que aplicamos el dicho de "si no lo veo, no existe", preferimos hacernos ciegos, así evitamos hablarlo y por ende involucrarme en temas que de verdad me afectan me importan y me competen.

Finalmente el punto no está en reclamar una verdad y recibirla para después no hacer nada, quiero saber que sucede con mis desperdicios, para después callarme por que era una noticia que no me esperaba?
Es preferible que pidamos la verdad cuando sepamos que hacer con ella, y creo que es el momento en el que empecemos a cuestionarnos que vamos a hacer vivir ciegos alejando todo lo que no se parezca a mi bien construido entorno?? o simplemente reaccionar y tratar de tomar medidas con esas verdades incómodas??

ART IS FOR THE SOUL... A REALLY THERAPY.

I definitely think art has powers that no science can have on the body, mind and soul, I say mostly because I've seen the effects caused by the old people as they paint.

after painting are much more relaxed, more docile and disposed to work without feeling pressured, they feel happy with what we can achieve with their own hands, I feel useful to know that they can paint and a stranger to them can appreciate they do.

Participate in volunteering has changed many things, but rather reminded me of things I already knew existed, only that sometimes have the bad habit of making excuses, the time has enslaved us while we are not willing to sacrifice anything, and now they see it as a sacrifice, or as something that I should stop while I'm a volunteer, is rather an investment.

You invest your time listening experiences, see smiles even last a moment, to create special moments, to disconnect from your reality to be empathetic to the reality of others, being a volunteer is much more than going to put a big smile and good encourage is to have the ability to know that with a small action you generate great changes, make a mark not to be remembered if not for you to remember that you helped someone.

and as we discuss in class about social action and said that many times not even agree on your behalf, to me the opposite happened and I am happy that even though 3 years have passed and I still can remember and be happy to see me, for me has been something that is priceless.

ANOTHER DAY IN VOLUNTARIADO.

Today was a very special day, although few people realize attended art therapy in the rain I guess they were unmotivated and a bit lazy ... I was special because he is reunited with Humberto's a grandfather who was in charge for a year while doing my social action at school.

It was really rewarding to see him again, and above all I remember so well, to remember every detail of my life I had told him at the time, or all the time we left to see us beat my heart sincerely a nice way I'm glad the evening and the entire week.

It's those moments when you think you can become a very special for someone who does not think, and how they influence the life of someone else, knowing that you are able to leave a positive mark on something that is priceless.

I definitely want to stay as long as possible in volunteering, I would like to continue talking to Humberto and helping you relax doing art therapy.

I love watching as the paint can all be transported to worlds or eras that only they can live in your imagination and can only be released while painting, I believe in the power of painting because I love painting and my usually the same effects.

MY WATERMELON PLANT CONTINUES GROWING UP

Finally my plant is more strong and big =') I'm so glad because ... I didn't think that my plant would survive and who started a lot of rain and bad weather would start to damage their leaves.

but after all this finally grew larger and spread throughout the area of land that I put to her.

I really felt I was putting the effort was worth it, its leaves are very green and very lush this only now I expect to grow a little more to it starts to bloom and then have the first fruit.

I wondered what the real purpose of take care the plant and I think it is for us to understand what it really means that other lives depend on our actions, knowing the value of a plant in nature and after all feel respect for any living being.

Michelle my classmate and I were in charge of making the bulletin board the week of January 2, while we investigate and review the past billboards, we realized that people have little interest in reading.

For this reason we decided to make protest signs appear instead of information so when they come near to see what it is, keep in mind that recycling is an important issue and despite being told many times still no real awareness of the issue takes .

We decided to hang up pouch bags that serve very well to be reused many times and then go through a recycling process without problem, and also try to show that waste should be divided according to their classification.

All materials used were reused to build the billboard just avoid printing so we work with less impact to the environment.

Make this social action, it brings to me good memories, 3 years ago I had the wonderful experience of working with them for a year while in the high school.

Now that I work with them again, this time doing art therapy and it was very nice because I met most of them and I was excited to see them again.

The first week unfortunately we couldn't perform the workshop, and only Valentina and I was there, and for that reason were not able to order materials, but we had company in the group of nurses from the Hospital Guayaquil, then a little help to make their activities because for them it was the first day.

Asylum is definitely a place where people like them are never alone, always have many activities, but are people that need much attention, since most have abandoned his family.

and you can feel like they are happy that you take time to listen and serve. I understood that we often complain about not having enough time, but spend those few hours to make someone feel important rather than an expense is an investment.

CERRO BLANCO

A GREAT MORNING IN CERRO BLANCO.

Eliana, Kathy, Karina and I went one morning a Cerro Blanco, a little discouraged because we thought the truth would be a little tired because they had too many other mosquitoes.

News that made ​​me really sad because I think a place that holds so much life should have more support from the government, Cerro Blanco is a natural reserve, and has interesting facilities, including camping houses, a small zoo of species rescued, and other interesting things, if they had a budget for maintenance and promotion have a greater awareness among people.

I think it was much better to make the trip at the end of the class, rather than at the beginning because I am now more aware of certain concepts of coexistence with our environment, and I have even more aware of what is being socially responsible.

I think the documentary is a very clever proposal and interesting, since you get the idea to convert useless garbage into something useful, for any part of the ecosystem.

I think if a third of people, taking into consideration this proposal, there would be less pollution and waste reduction in an accelerated way.

Things like:

-Constructions, like trees, produce more energy than they consume and treat their own wastewater.

-Factories that produce water as effluent.

-Products that, after their useful life, do not become useless waste but can bereturned to the soil to decompose and become food for plants and animals and soil nutrients, or otherwise, they can be reassigned to industrial cyclesto supply high quality raw materials for new products.

In theory everything that degrades or breaks down is beneficial and healthy for the earth, for the reuse this, so this is the concept of "waste = food" that is to eliminate the concept that people have of waste and start creating and think regenerative and biodegradable, for the good of ourselves because we are drowning in a toxin world produced by the same man who created the waste.

TWOFOLD PURPOSE & VOLUNTARIADO

I think the best way to generate big changes, is starting with small actions to influence society, governments, and especially in the ideology of the people.

Generally everyone is talking about that change always begins by yourself, but it happens that if no one notices the change, or nobody knows you started making small changes, the message that we all take the same decision doesn't reach the right way.

I think while you decide to start making good decisions to change certain things, institutions and governments should work together to make an habit of change, because this is topic that has been promised many times for to do the same and achieve "something" that at the end is left alone in words.

I choose start to work with "Asilo Plaza Dañin", I used to work with them 3 years ago, I make my social action for 1 year... and now here I am in the same place, just now I'm gonna make one activity dedicated to creativity work.

Work with adult people sometimes is very hard, because they are always willing to be totally receptive, but that we are right to change the mood, distract them work their creativity, to achieve relax and not for a moment "the pains of old age" as they say.

I think to do voluntariado, is the best way to show how small actions have effects in others. most of all leaves a great satisfaction at the end of the day you feel good because you know that because of you today, someone had a better day.

Helping is not a matter of giving away something and solve life, is to provide the tools needed to make that person feel capable and strong enough to achieve their goals. Sometimes make life easier for others is the worst damage that we can cause .

during the first 8 days daily review of the future plant watermelon, and I saw how it grew

step by step since it was almost a little button that was slowly opening.

At first I wasn't so excited about caring for and planting a plant because I'm very bad with that kind of thing, but to interact with the small plant and care for it, expect it to grow, water it, you feel like that you're a mother expected to have her baby, and creates in you an specially sense of responsibility for something else that was not in your daily plans and has other life.

once the plant grew a little excited because I felt I had finally grown bigger already!

I think everything in this world has a purpose, really caring this plant is a "work that i have to", something that in "theory I have to do because it is a grade..." because at home there are enough plants "are not supposed to need more" but when I started the job longer see it that way and managed to involve in its development, understanding that it is a matter of having to ... but rather to compensate in some way our environment is a new plant that besides being a bit of life generates a product that benefits me.

For this project buy watermelon seeds, the first thing I did was get a small pot. then look for water and soil for planting. then follow the step by step the instructions to plant the seeds.
I expect germination to 8 days after germination and i will  have the first fruits ripening in the next 65 days.
I feel so good because i didn't have a plant since school, so at the first time it was so weird but now i feel excited because i want to see my watermelon plant growing up.
although it seems a responsibility to keep a plant, because it needs a lot of care and should grow in appropriate environment, otherwise i can’t get  fruits. and then I fail.

WHAT IS A COMPOST.

The compost its made of recycled garden and kitchen waste, and can also include paper products. It is used to feed and condition the soil and in making potting mixes.

Making compost is often considered to be complex but all you need to do is provide the right ingredients and let nature do the rest however, a little know-how will help you make better compost, more efficiently.

MAKING A COMPOST

After collecting kitchen garbage like: banana and mango skin, salad, fruits, eggshell, etc.)    I put it all in a bucket for dirty laundry because it has holes in it which lets everything breath. The backyard is a perfekt place even thow it doesn't smell at all.

 I do step by step, this compost because it was something new for me, I never do a compost before, so I read about that, collected the materials and start de mission!!!.

For me, making compost is a way to help the planet and try to avoid the contamination, for this reason the compost is a way for people to do something simple, cheep and important in their homes.

I think that the idea of making compost with organic waste of our homes is very good, because with this project we don't throw away parts of the fruits or vegetables to the soil, or in the garbage car and that can help other plants to grow healthy and with all the nutrients. Also, organic compost is better for the plants because all the components it have are natural and it doesn't need chemicals.
